# MCP server

Tarkle runs a remote MCP server so AI assistants can work with your workspace. Create an MCP token in **Settings > API > New token > MCP token**, then add the server to your assistant. The step-by-step setup for each assistant is on [tarkle.com/connect-ai](https://tarkle.com/connect-ai).

The MCP server has one brand tool, `tarkle_list_brands`, which lists a workspace's brands. To create, change, upload to or delete a brand, use the [Brand API](/docs/api/brands) with an API token; an MCP token does not work on the API. The [Brand API skill](/docs/ai-agents/brand-skill) tells an agent which to use.

MCP tokens expire after 30, 90 or 365 days. Rotate them like any other credential.
