# How to upgrade your organization from Free to Pro

Move your organization from Free to a monthly or yearly Pro plan by paying by card at Checkout.

Tarkle Pro is the paid plan for freelancers and small teams. It is billed monthly or yearly, and the plan belongs to your organization, so every workspace in it draws on the same storage. This article shows how to upgrade from Free.

## What Pro adds to Free

Free gives your organization 1 workspace, 5 GB of storage and uploads of up to 1 GB. Pro includes everything in Free and adds:

- 2 workspaces and 3 TB of storage
- Uploads of up to 200 GB
- Unlimited team members
- Team folders and storage
- File versioning
- Fully branded client portal
- The AI assistant (Beta)
- 90-day file recovery instead of 30 days
- Priority support

## How to upgrade

Only the owner of the organization can upgrade. Admins can open Billing to see the plan, but they cannot buy or change it.

1. **Sign in** to Tarkle with the account that owns the organization. Checkout asks you to sign in or create an account with an emailed code or Google, then pay by card.
2. Open **Settings** in the sidebar and click **Billing**. You can also go straight to [Billing](/dashboard/settings/billing). Billing belongs to your organization, not to a single workspace.
3. In the **Active subscriptions** table, click the **⋯** menu on the **Free** row.
4. Click **Upgrade**. Checkout opens with Pro selected and **Billed yearly** chosen.
5. Choose **Billed yearly** or **Billed monthly**. Yearly is $19 a month, billed as $228 a year. Monthly is $29 a month. Checkout also lists Pro and Agency under **Choose a plan**. Agency costs $59 a month, or $49 a month billed yearly.
6. Enter your card number, expiration date and security code. Then enter your country and your ZIP code, or your postal code outside the United States.
7. Click **Purchase**. When the payment is confirmed, Tarkle opens the Billing page.

To compare plans first, click **See plans** on the Billing page. It opens the [pricing page](/pricing).

The **Upgrade** badges inside a workspace open a dialog titled **Upgrade to get the most of Tarkle**. A Free organization sees **Upgrade to Pro** and **Upgrade to Agency** there, and both lead to the same Checkout.

Note: By clicking **Purchase**, you agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Taxes are added where they apply, and all amounts are in USD. Checkout shows the amount under **Billed now** before you pay. If Billing shows a note that buying a plan is paused, contact Tarkle support through the chat.

## What happens next

After the payment is confirmed, your organization is on Pro. On Billing, the **Active subscriptions** table lists **Pro** with **Active** in the **Status** column and the next renewal date in the **Renewal date** column.

If the card is declined, the reason appears under **Purchase**. Your organization stays on Free, and you can try again. If you close the page before you pay, you are not charged.

## Change your plan later

The **Pro** row in **Active subscriptions** shows an **Upgrade** item when a move is allowed: from Pro to Agency, or from monthly to yearly. Checkout then charges the new plan in full now, on the saved card shown there, and your old plan ends the same day.
