# How to add guidelines, team, press and asset collections

Fill in asset collections, Team, Press and Guidelines on the Assets tab of a brand page.

The **Assets** tab of the brand editor holds four lists: **Brand assets** (your asset collections), **Team**, **Press** and **Guidelines**. Use it to put downloadable files, the people behind the brand, press coverage and written brand rules on the brand page.

## Add the content

1. **Open the editor.** Click **Brands** in the sidebar, then open the brand you want to edit. A brand that does not exist yet starts with [How to create a brand page](https://tarkle.com/help/branding/create-a-brand-page).
2. **Open Assets.** Click the **Assets** tab, after Fonts and before SEO.
3. **Add a collection.** Under **Brand assets**, click **Add collection** and enter a **Collection name** (required) and an optional **Description**.
4. **Add files.** Click **Add files** in the collection and pick files from the file picker, several at once if you like.
5. **Add your team.** Under **Team**, click **Add person**, pick a headshot, then enter a **Name** and an optional **Title**.
6. **Add press coverage.** Under **Press**, paste a link to an article and click **Add**.
7. **Write guidelines.** Under **Guidelines**, click **Add section**, then enter a **Section title** and write the text.
8. **Add images to a section.** In a guideline section, click **Add image**, pick a file and type an optional caption. Choose **Image**, **Do** or **Don't** for it. Use an image for a clear-space diagram, **Do** for a good example and **Don't** for a misuse. To add a matching pair in one step, click **Add do and don't pair**.
9. **Save.** On a new brand, click **Save as draft** or **Publish**. On a draft, click **Save draft** or **Publish**. On a published brand, click **Save changes**, or **Unpublish** to turn it back into a draft.

Remove a file, a team member, a press item or a guideline section with the X beside it.

Tarkle does not save a team member or a collection without a name. A guideline section with no title and no text is dropped when you save, and a section with text but no title is saved as **Untitled**.

## Limits

- **Collections:** 30 per brand, with up to 200 files each. A collection name can be up to 80 characters and a description up to 500.
- **Files:** each file can be up to 100 MB. A larger file is skipped when you add it, without a message.
- **Team:** up to 24 people. A name and a title can each be up to 80 characters.
- **Team heading:** it defaults to Team and can be up to 30 characters. Type your own in the **Section title** field, or click Team, Leadership, Staff, Founders or People.
- **Press:** up to 24 items.
- **Guidelines:** up to 20 sections, each with a title of up to 80 characters.
- **Guideline images:** up to 12 images per section, each a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG file of up to 10 MB. A caption can be up to 200 characters.

## Details worth knowing

- **Press links:** Tarkle reads the title, summary, cover image and source from the page, and you can edit the title. A link must be a valid public web address, and the same link cannot be added twice. If Tarkle cannot read the page, it still adds the link and asks you to type the title.
- **Guidelines presets:** the standard guidelines are **Logo usage**, **Do and don't**, **Voice and tone** and **Imagery**. Each preset you do not have yet has its own button beside **Add section**. When two or more are missing, a bulk button adds them at once: **Add the standard guidelines** when the list is empty, or **Add the missing standard sections** when some are already there. A preset section that is still empty shows **Insert the standard text**.
- **Guidelines text:** the editor supports headings, bulleted and numbered lists, quotes, callouts, bold, italic, underline and links. Use the up and down arrows on a section to reorder it.
- **Do and don't pairs:** a **Do** image placed directly next to a **Don't** image, in either order, shows as a pair on the brand page: the two sit side by side with the Do on the left, on a phone as well. The editor groups such images under a label. Use the up and down arrows on an image to move it one place. Images that are not next to their opposite flow in a grid, and a lone Do or Don't keeps its word under the image.
- **Images in the kit:** the full kit zip holds guideline images in a `guidelines` folder, named after the section and the caption.
- **Brand pages by plan:** on the Free plan, an organization can have one brand page. Pro and Agency have no limit. See [Brand page plans and limits](https://tarkle.com/help/branding/brand-page-plans-and-limits) and [plans and prices](https://tarkle.com/pricing).

## What happens next

Once the brand is published, visitors see the **Overview** tab, which is always shown, and a tab for each section that has content: **Logos**, **Colors**, **Typography**, **Assets**, **Team**, **Press** and **Guidelines**. The **Team** tab shows the heading you chose.

Guideline images show under the text of their section on the **Guidelines** tab. Visitors can open images in a preview and download single files, or download everything as one zip with the **Download** button. Turn on **Require approval to download** in the **Settings** tab of the brand editor, under **Downloads**, to decide who can download. Visitors who do not have access see **Request access** instead of **Download**, and they send you a request. [How do download approval and access requests work?](https://tarkle.com/help/branding/download-approval-and-requests) explains how to approve one.

A **Usage** link sits at the end of the tab row and always shows. It opens the brand's Mark Usage Terms page. Tarkle writes that page from the brand name and your workspace contact email, so there is nothing to switch on or fill in. Without a contact email, the page tells visitors to contact the brand through its website.

Press cards open the article in a new tab, and more than six items turn into a slider.
