# How to connect Google Analytics 4 to Tarkle

Add your Google Analytics 4 Measurement ID in Tarkle so the Google tag runs on your public pages.

Connect Google Analytics 4 to a Tarkle workspace with your Measurement ID. After you save it, the Google tag runs on the public pages of that workspace. Use this page to connect the tag, change the ID or disconnect it.

## Before you start

Your Measurement ID starts with `G-` and looks like the placeholder `G-XXXXXXXXXX` in Tarkle. Each workspace has its own Measurement ID, so repeat these steps in every workspace you want to track.

## Connect Google Analytics 4

1. Open the [Integrations](/dashboard/settings/integrations) page in your workspace settings.
2. Find the Google Analytics card and click **Connect**.
3. In the dialog, enter your Measurement ID in the field.
4. Click the save button at the bottom right of the dialog.

When the ID is saved, the card shows a Connected badge and a **Manage** button. Tarkle only checks that the field is not empty, so type the ID exactly as Google Analytics shows it.

## Change or disconnect the Measurement ID

Click **Manage** on the Google Analytics card. The dialog shows the saved ID as plain text. Click the disconnect button at the left of the dialog's footer to clear it. You can then enter a new ID and save it.

Note: Only the owner of the workspace can save or disconnect the Measurement ID. Anyone else who tries gets a Not authorized error, and the saved ID does not change.

## What happens next

After you save, the Google tag runs on the public pages of the workspace, the pages your recipients open.
