# How to delete a transfer

Delete a transfer from its row menu on the Transfers list, which runs at once with no confirmation step.

Delete a transfer when you no longer need it. You delete it from its row on the Transfers list, and the delete runs as soon as you choose it.

## Delete a transfer

1. Open **[Transfers](/dashboard/transfers)** and find the transfer.
2. Click the **three-dot** button on the transfer's row.
3. Click the **red item** at the bottom of the menu. It deletes the transfer.

Delete runs at once. Tarkle does not show a confirmation dialog, so check the transfer before you click. If you still need any files from it, download or save copies of them first.

Note: To turn a transfer off without deleting it, choose **Pause transfer** in the same menu. ## What happens next

When the delete works, Tarkle shows the message **Transfer deleted!** and the Transfers list refreshes. You stay on the list. If the delete fails, Tarkle shows **Error deleting transfer**, and you can choose the delete item again from the same row menu.

If the transfer is a feedback board, only an owner or an admin of the workspace can delete it. For other team members the delete fails, and Tarkle shows **Error deleting transfer**. The [roles](/features/roles-and-permissions) page lists the four roles, Owner, Admin, Member and Viewer.
