Connect your own Stripe account to Tarkle to charge for a transfer. When someone pays, they get access to your shared files straight away, and the money goes to your Stripe account.
Paid transfers use your own Stripe account. Tarkle never holds your money.
What you need
A Stripe account that can take live payments.
Three things from Stripe: a publishable key, a secret key, and a webhook signing secret.
You enter all three in one place: Settings → Integrations → Payments → Stripe → Connect.
Two switches, not one
Connecting Stripe does not by itself offer paid transfers, because Stripe can also be used for other paid products. To charge for a transfer you also turn on Enable paid transfers in Settings → General → File settings. See Charge for access: create paid transfers.
1. Get your keys
Once the requirements are met, an Enable Stripe button appears at the top right of the card. Clicking it toggles Stripe on for your workspace. A Disconnect Stripe button replaces it once enabled.
2. Add the webhook
Stripe uses a webhook to tell Tarkle that a payment went through, so Tarkle can unlock the files for your buyer.
3. Save
You enable Stripe and enter your live keys in Settings
When creating a transfer, you check Charge for access on step 2 and set a price on step 3
Recipients who open the transfer link see a payment screen powered by your Stripe account
Payment is processed directly on your Stripe account
After payment, the recipient gains access to the files
Paste the three values into the Stripe window in Tarkle and click Save. Stripe now shows as Connected. To change a value later, open Manage, enter the new value and Save. A field you leave empty keeps what is already saved.
