We operated a design agency for years before building a subscription service. We scaled it, made the mistakes, and learned what agencies and startups actually need. Tarkle Studio is what we built after that.
We started as operators, not software founders
In 2021 we were running a design agency. We scaled it to serve hundreds of clients across the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. We built internal systems, hired designers, managed contractors, and delivered thousands of projects. We eventually exited.
During that time we also built three software products — Sharebrand for file sharing, Bripes for client portals, and Kontrable for contractor management. Those became Tarkle, used by thousands of agencies and freelancers today.
Tarkle Studio is what we rebuilt from that experience. Not a pop-up subscription launched to ride a trend. A focused service backed by real operational experience, AI-assisted delivery, and a hiring bar that means the people working on your brand actually know what they are doing.
What makes us different
We hired 1 in 500: Most design services hire anyone with a portfolio. We reject 499 out of 500 applicants. The ones who pass go through our internal method — a proprietary process refined over five years of delivering work at scale. Quality is not a promise on a landing page for us. It is a system.
We build our own tools: We use the same software stack we sell. Tarkle Send, Portal, and Crew are not side projects — they are what we built to run our own business. When we work on your brand, we are doing it inside the same workflow your clients use.
We know what agencies actually need: Our primary clients are agencies serving their own clients. We understand tight deadlines, client approvals, inconsistent briefs, and the politics of scope creep. We have been on the agency side. We do not need onboarding on how agencies work.
AI-assisted, human-verified: We integrate AI at every appropriate stage of the workflow. Not to replace designers, but to accelerate production, improve consistency, and reduce the gap between brief and delivery. Every output is reviewed by a senior designer before it reaches you.
