Referral Program Terms

Refer a Friend is a free, personal referral program for Tarkle account holders. It rewards storage, not cash or credits, and is separate from Tarkle's affiliate partner program (which pays monetary commissions on verified billing events and has its own terms).

It is designed for freelancers, agencies, and businesses referring other freelancers and businesses to Tarkle -- not a general consumer referral scheme.

Any real, authenticated Tarkle account -- an account owner or an invited team member -- is automatically enrolled and receives its own personal referral link. A client or contact signing up through a file request, and an organization record, are not accounts and are never enrolled.

Self-referral is never rewarded: an account cannot refer itself, and an attempt to do so is rejected.

Share your personal referral link. When someone creates an account through it, that signup is recorded, but no reward is granted yet.

The qualifying event is that new account's FIRST workspace -- not the signup itself, and never any later, additional workspace they create. The moment that first workspace exists, both accounts' rewards begin a 30-day waiting period.

If the referred account never creates a workspace, no reward is ever granted to either side.

Once the 30-day waiting period has passed, both the referrer and the referred account each receive 5 GB of storage, added to their personal balance. This amount may change for future referrals; it never changes retroactively for a reward already granted.

A reward sits as a personal balance, not storage on any specific workspace, until its owner chooses to redeem some or all of it against a workspace they own.

Each account can earn at most 100 GB in total from this program -- combining both the one-time reward for being referred and every reward earned for referring others. At the current 5 GB per referral, that is a maximum of 20 rewarded referrals per account, ever.

If granting a reward would put an account over this cap, that reward is withheld. A referrer's own cap never affects the person they referred -- the new account still receives its reward regardless.

A reward balance can be redeemed, in any amount from 5 GB up to what is available, against any workspace the account owns -- on any plan, free or paid. Redeeming to a workspace you only have team access to, but do not own, is not permitted.

Redemption is final once applied and cannot be reversed or transferred to another account.

Tarkle may withhold, reverse, or decline to grant a reward, and may suspend a referral code's access to this program, if it determines in good faith that:

• The signup, account, or workspace was created primarily to generate rewards rather than for genuine use.
• Multiple accounts were created from the same person, household, or organization to repeatedly trigger rewards.
• The referral link was shared through spam, paid advertising without disclosure, or any other misleading or abusive channel.

Standard account-creation safeguards (such as per-IP signup limits) apply to referred signups exactly as they do to any other.

Tarkle may modify or end this program, or change the reward amount, lifetime cap, or waiting period, at any time. A change never reduces a reward that has already been granted, but may change what a referral started after the change date earns.
