Changelog

The biggest change this month is how file sharing works at its core.
Previously, sending files involved separate flows depending on what you were sharing, who you were sharing with, and how you wanted to protect it. There was no single mental model.
Now every share goes through a transfer. A transfer is a named, trackable package. You create it, add content from any source, configure access, and send. The same flow handles every case.
What a transfer can contain:
- Files you upload during creation
- Files and folders already stored in your workspace
- External links (YouTube, Figma, Google Drive, and 25+ other platforms)
- Any combination of the above
How recipients can receive it:
- By link — one URL, shareable to anyone
- By email — sent directly to one or more addresses, tracked per recipient
Access modes:
- **Direct** — open and download, no friction
- **Gated** — visitor submits an email before downloading; their address is captured and can be pushed to Loops or Mailchimp automatically
- **Password protected** — you set a password, share it separately, recipients need it to get in
- **Burn after read** — the transfer and its files delete after the first download; no permanent copy exists after access
- **View only** — recipients see everything but cannot download; useful for approvals, previews, and protecting work before sign-off
Every transfer can also have an expiry date. Set it and the transfer becomes inaccessible after that point automatically.

## Contact system rebuilt
The old system required you to create an organization before you could associate a contact with a client account. Most people found this backwards. If you wanted to share something with a new client, you had to set up their org first, then create a contact under it, then send.

That is gone.
Now you type an email address into the recipient field and send. The contact is created from that interaction. If you want to group them under an organization later, you can. If you never do, it still works. Organizations are now optional structure, not a prerequisite.
This changes who Sharebrand works for. Sharing is no longer oriented around clients as a formal category. Clients, teammates, contractors, partners, press contacts, one-off recipients — all handled the same way. Type an email, send a transfer, track the interaction.
The contacts page still shows everyone you have ever shared with, their organization if assigned, and the full history of what you sent them and when they accessed it.

## Activity tracking

There is now a full activity log in every workspace.
Everything is tracked: file uploads, transfers created, transfers viewed, downloads, email gate submissions, team member actions, settings changes. Each entry includes who did it, when, what the action was, and the country it came from.
The activity page lets you filter by action type, search by name, contact, or file, and sort by date. If you want to know whether a specific person opened the file you sent three days ago, you open their contact and see every interaction in chronological order. If you want to know what your team has been doing this week, you open activity and filter by member.
This also powers the Slack integration, so real-time notifications are drawing from the same data.

## Slack integration

Connect your Slack workspace and Sharebrand posts a notification every time something happens with your transfers. You choose the channel and which events trigger alerts.
The three events you can toggle:
- Transfer viewed — someone opened the link
- Transfer downloaded — someone downloaded the files
- Email gate submitted — someone entered their email to get access
Each notification includes the recipient, the transfer name, and their location. You see who opened what and where, in real time, in the channel you already use.
The Slack app is registered under Sharebrand and uses OAuth. You connect it once from settings and it stays connected.

## Integrations
