RushFiles alternative for resellers and agencies

RushFiles suits MSPs that need on-premise, Active Directory or a virtual drive. Tarkle suits web hosts, IT providers and agencies who want hosted white label file sharing with fixed plan prices.

A good RushFiles alternative depends on what you need to sell. RushFiles is a channel-only enterprise file sharing platform with hosted and on-premise deployment, built for MSPs that serve organizations with strict data policies. Tarkle is a hosted-only white label file sharing platform with fixed plan prices, for web hosts, IT providers and agencies who want to put their own name on file sharing without running infrastructure.

Neither is the right answer for everyone. This article sets out where RushFiles is the better fit, where Tarkle is, and what each asks of you in setup effort.

What RushFiles is and who it is for

RushFiles describes itself as an enterprise file sharing and storage platform that service providers deliver to their own customers. Its home page says it is a channel-only vendor, and its partner program page says RushFiles "does not sell directly to end customers". The partner types it names are managed service providers, cloud and hosting providers and IT distributors.

Its strengths, as the company states them on those pages:

  • Two deployment models. Hosted by RushFiles on EU infrastructure, or run on your own infrastructure.

  • White label. Your logo, colors, own domain for portals and logins, and customized system emails. It also lists branded desktop and mobile applications.

  • Multi-tenant management. A single reseller panel for all customer environments, with each customer in an isolated tenant.

  • Enterprise integrations. The home page lists Active Directory, APIs, NTFS, WOPI and Zimbra, and the partner page adds connectors for Microsoft 365.

  • Open margins. The partner page describes an open-margin model where partners set their own pricing, with "typical partner margins" of 20 to 50 percent. That is RushFiles' own figure, not ours.

These are vendor claims from RushFiles' own site, read on 2026-10-28. Its partner page also carries a comparison table dated January 7, 2026, which is the vendor's own marketing, so treat its claims about other products with care.

Who should choose RushFiles

Choose RushFiles if your customers need things Tarkle does not offer. If a customer insists on running the software on its own infrastructure, RushFiles says on-premise is meant for organizations with strict data policies. If customers need Active Directory permissions, or you sell a virtual drive experience (one RushFiles customer quote on its site praises its virtual drive), RushFiles is built for that. Tarkle does not offer an on-premise version or an Active Directory integration.

It is also a fit if you are a larger MSP that wants partner onboarding, training and marketing funds. RushFiles lists market development funds, co-marketing materials and technical onboarding on its partner page. Applications are reviewed by RushFiles; its form says there is no automatic signup.

Before you compare vendors, write down three customer needs that would lose you a deal if missing: on-premise, Active Directory, a virtual drive. If any of the three is on your list, start with RushFiles.

A RushFiles alternative that is hosted only: who should choose Tarkle

Tarkle fits when the job is simpler: send files, request files and give clients a branded place to sign in, under your name, without hosting anything. Tarkle runs the infrastructure. You do not choose between deployment models, because there is only one: hosted.

There are two plans to know, and they suit different people.

  • Agency is for running Tarkle for your own clients. You get everything in Pro, client workspaces, a 100% white label platform and a client provisioning portal. Read more on the white label for agencies page.

  • Reseller and Reseller Pro are for selling file sharing as your own product. You run a branded platform on your own domain, create customer workspaces and choose your own plans and prices. Read more on Resell Tarkle as your own platform.

Most web hosts and MSPs will look at Reseller. Agencies that only serve their own client list usually need Agency, and an organization holds one or the other, not both.

What you set up as a Tarkle reseller

Based on how the product works today, the reseller flow looks like this:

  1. Buy a Reseller or Reseller Pro plan. Your partner account is activated by Tarkle.

  2. Add your business name, logo, favicon, accent color and links to your own terms and privacy pages in the partner settings.

  3. Open Domains and enter the domain customers will use, for example app.yourbrand.com, then follow the DNS steps. Once submitted, the domain cannot be edited or deleted, so decide it first.

  4. Create your own plans in the Plans tab, each with its own storage, seats and trial days, and switch on Enable self sign-up if customers should register themselves.

  5. Add customer workspaces by hand if you prefer to provision them yourself, and record each customer's subscription.

Customers who open your domain see your logo and name on the sign-in and sign-up pages, along with your terms and privacy links. The Reseller Terms say the surfaces customers and end users see carry your brand, with one required attribution in the legal pages. The Reseller Dashboard, which only you use, keeps Tarkle branding.

One point to be clear about: you invoice and collect payment from your customers yourself, then record their subscription in Tarkle. Tarkle does not process those payments. The Reseller Terms state that Tarkle takes no revenue share, transaction fee or commission on payments between you and your customers.

Choose and submit your domain before you design plans. Because it cannot be changed after you submit it, use a name you will still want in two years.

Feature comparison

This compares only what both sides publish.

  • Deployment: RushFiles offers hosted and on-premise. Tarkle is hosted only.

  • Who can buy: RushFiles sells through approved partners only. Tarkle's Reseller and Agency plans are bought at checkout.

  • White label: RushFiles lists your logo, colors, domain, system emails and applications. Tarkle lets you set your logo, favicon, accent color and domain, and its customer-facing surfaces carry your brand.

  • Multi-tenant management: RushFiles has a single reseller panel. Tarkle gives you customer workspaces drawing from one shared storage pool.

  • Enterprise integrations: RushFiles lists Active Directory, NTFS, WOPI and Zimbra. Tarkle does not offer these.

  • Pricing to you: RushFiles uses monthly commitment tiers with unit pricing not shown publicly. Tarkle publishes fixed plan prices.

Pricing

RushFiles' pricing page shows eight monthly commitment tiers, from 250 to 35,000 euros, and says unit pricing depends on the tier you choose and the final price may vary with deployment and support plans. It does not publish per-user or per-gigabyte prices, so we cannot compare it line for line.

Tarkle's prices as published on its pricing page in October 2026:

  • Agency: $59 per month, or $49 per month billed yearly ($588 per year). Includes 20 workspaces for clients and 6 TB of cloud storage.

  • Reseller: $99 per month plus a $99 one-time setup fee, or $89 per month billed yearly ($1,068 per year, no setup fee). Includes 50 customer workspaces, 6 TB pooled storage and one authorized sales territory.

  • Reseller Pro: $189 per month plus a $189 one-time setup fee, or $179 per month billed yearly ($2,148 per year, no setup fee). Includes 100 customer workspaces, 15 TB pooled storage and up to three authorized sales territories.

Extra usage is billed monthly: $79 per extra 50 workspaces and $69 per extra 10 TB of storage. We do not state margins for Tarkle. What you earn depends on the prices you set and the customers you win.

Switching from RushFiles to Tarkle

Moving is a customer-by-customer job, so start small.

  1. List your RushFiles customers and mark any that rely on on-premise hosting, Active Directory or a virtual drive. Keep those where they are.

  2. Pick one or two customers who mainly share and collect files, and set up your branded domain and a first plan.

  3. Create their workspaces, invite them and move their files over.

  4. Tell them what changes before you switch. The Reseller Terms require you to give customers accurate information about the platform, including how files are retained and that access may end if your Tarkle subscription ends.

Run one friendly customer on the new platform for a month before you move the rest. You will learn how your own plans and billing feel in practice.

Next step

If you sell to customers who need on-premise or Active Directory, apply to RushFiles. If you want a hosted white label platform you can set up yourself, read the Reseller platform page, compare plans on the pricing page, or start for free to see how Tarkle works before you sell it.
