An expiration date gives your transfer a defined lifespan. After the chosen date, the transfer link stops working. The files remain in your workspace storage, but the public link is no longer accessible.
How It Works
In step two of the transfer modal, open the expiration date picker and choose a date. The earliest allowed date is one day from the time of creation. The latest is three years from creation. Once set, the date is shown on the transfer details page. You can clear the expiration before submitting if you decide against it.
When the expiration date arrives, Tarkle Send automatically deactivates the link. Recipients who try to open it after that point will find it no longer works.
Use Cases
Time-sensitive proposals — Set a transfer to expire when a quote window closes.
Event materials — Share conference files or press kits that should not be accessible after the event date.
Trial access — Give a prospect temporary access to a sample or demo file for a set number of days.
Expiration is optional and available on every transfer type, including password protected, gated, and paid transfers.
