How team storage works in Tarkle Send

Storage in Tarkle Send is workspace-level and pooled. Every member of your workspace draws from the same pool. This article explains how that works, what it means for your team, and links to related articles on team seats and roles.

Storage in Tarkle Send is not split per user. It is pooled at the workspace level, which means all team members in your workspace share the same total storage allocation.

What pooled storage means

When your workspace is on a plan with, say, 1 TB of storage, that 1 TB is available to everyone in the workspace. There are no individual quotas per team member. A team member uploading a 500 MB file draws from the same pool as the workspace owner uploading a 2 GB folder.

The sidebar shows a live storage indicator so the workspace owner can see total usage at a glance.

This model is intentional. Most small teams do not need per-seat storage accounting, and splitting storage creates friction when some members are heavy users and others are light. With pooled storage, the workspace uses what it needs and the owner tops up when necessary.

Adding more storage

If your workspace needs more storage than your plan includes, you can add extra storage in packs of 1 TB at $10 per TB. Storage add-ons are billed at the workspace level and pooled into the same shared allocation. For details on purchasing additional storage or extra seat packs, see Extra Storage, Seat Packs, and Custom Plans.

How this connects to teams and roles

Because storage is workspace-level, every team member you invite has access to upload, share, and manage files within the bounds of their assigned role. A team member with file creation permissions can send files and consume storage just like the owner. A team member without that permission cannot. Controlling what team members can do with the shared storage is handled through roles and permissions.
