File requests are the reverse of a transfer. Instead of sending files to someone, you create a link that lets other people send files to you. Everything lands directly in a folder in your workspace.
The requests tab
The Requests tab lives at /transfers?tab=requested. It shows all active and completed file requests for your workspace in one list. Active requests are still open and accepting uploads. Completed requests are closed, either because they expired or were manually closed.
Each row in the list shows the request title, the destination folder, the access type (public or organization-specific), the expiration date if set, and the number of files received.
How a file request works
When you create a file request, Tarkle Send generates a shareable link. Anyone who opens that link sees a branded upload page with your title and description. They drag or select files and upload them. The files go directly into the folder you selected when creating the request — no email, no manual download, no forwarding.
You do not need to be online when the upload happens. Files arrive in your workspace folder and appear in your Files page as soon as the upload completes. If you enabled email notifications on the request, you get an email every time someone uploads files.
Access options
When creating a request you choose one of two access settings:
Public link. Anyone who has the link can upload files. There is no login or identity check. Best for open collection forms, like asking clients to submit assets.
Specific organization. Only people associated with a specific organization in your workspace can use the link. This restricts uploads to a known client or team.
