Your Tarkle Send workspace includes a full file management system at /files. Every file your team uploads or shares lives here. You can organise files into folders, move them, star them for quick access, classify them by type, and delete them when they are no longer needed.

The Library at /files

The /files page is your workspace library. It holds every file associated with your workspace, regardless of how it got there, uploaded manually, uploaded as part of a transfer, or received through a file request from a client.

The library has six tabs:

  • Files — every file in your workspace, viewable in list or grid layout

  • Folders — your folder structure

  • Transferred — files that have been shared through a transfer

  • Starred — files you have marked for quick access

  • Recent — files uploaded or accessed recently, sorted by date

  • Externals — embedded or masked links from external tools like Google Drive, Figma, and Notion

Creating folders

Folders let you organise files by client, project, file type, or any structure that fits how your team works. To create a folder, go to the Folders tab and add a new folder. Folders can be nested, so you can create a parent folder for a client and subfolders for each project under that client.

Team folders on Send Pro can have role-based access, so only specific team members see certain folders.

Uploading files

You can upload files directly from the library without creating a transfer. Go to /files, click upload, and select files from your device. Uploaded files appear in the library immediately and can be added to any transfer later without re-uploading.

You can upload documents, videos, audio files, and photos. Each type is sorted automatically into the correct category in the library.

Moving files between folders

Files can be moved between folders at any time. Select one or more files from the Files tab, choose Move, and select the destination folder. Moving a file between folders does not affect any transfers the file is already part of — existing transfer links continue to work.

Starring files

Star any file for quick access. Starred files appear in the Starred tab so you can find frequently used files without searching the full library. Starred status is per user, not shared across the team.

Deleting files

Delete files individually or in bulk from the Files tab. Deleted files are removed from storage immediately and the storage count is updated. On Send Pro, deleted files can be recovered within 90 days using the file recovery feature. On Send, deletion is permanent.

Deleting a file from the library does not automatically break active transfers that included it. If you want to revoke access to a shared file, disable or delete the transfer directly.

Adding external and Embedded Files

The Externals tab shows masked or embedded links added from external sources. You can add a link from Google Drive, Figma, Notion, Dropbox, or other tools, and Tarkle Send presents it as a branded file in a transfer. The external file is not downloaded into your storage, it is linked and masked under your domain and branding.

This lets you keep large files in existing storage tools while presenting them to clients through a Tarkle Send transfer page, under your brand and domain.

File classification

Files are classified automatically when uploaded. Documents, videos, audio, and photos each appear in their own section within the library. You can filter and sort within each category by name, size, date uploaded, or date modified.

Classification also feeds the storage breakdown on your Billing page, so you can see exactly how much of your storage is used by each file type.
