RushFiles alternative for MSPs, resellers and agencies
RushFiles suits MSPs needing on-premise hosting. Tarkle is hosted white label file sharing you can sell yourself.
A RushFiles alternative makes sense when you want to sell or deliver file sharing under your own name without running infrastructure. RushFiles is a channel-only enterprise file sync and share platform, offered as hosted software or as an on-premise install, for MSPs that serve customers with strict IT policies. Tarkle is a hosted-only white label platform that you can set up yourself, for MSPs, web hosts, IT providers and agencies whose customers mainly need to send, request and store files.
Neither is right for everyone. This comparison sets out where RushFiles is the better fit, where Tarkle is, and what each asks of you in setup. Every RushFiles fact below comes from its own pages, read on 30 October 2026, and is linked.
Who should choose RushFiles
RushFiles describes itself as a partner-only platform. Its partner program page says it is "A partner-only file sharing platform", and its home page calls it a channel-only vendor. It targets MSPs, cloud and hosting providers and IT distributors. Applications are reviewed by RushFiles, with "No automatic signup", then partners go through registration, an onboarding call, training and a qualified reseller step.
Choose RushFiles if any of these decide the deal:
On-premise or provider-run hosting. Its on-premise page says the software is installed in provider-managed infrastructure and that no customer data is stored in RushFiles' cloud. The hosted version is described as running on EU infrastructure.
Directory and enterprise integrations. Its secure sharing page lists Active Directory, AD/LDAP integration, Microsoft Entra ID, NTFS permissions, WOPI editing for Microsoft 365, Zimbra and an API.
A virtual drive. RushFiles lists a Virtual Drive with files on demand in Windows Explorer and macOS Finder, plus Windows, macOS, iOS and Android clients.
Partner support. The partner page lists market development funds, co-marketing materials and technical onboarding.
Fully branded apps. RushFiles says full branding of desktop and mobile apps is available with on-premise deployments, according to its FAQ.
RushFiles also states typical partner margins of 20 to 50 percent on its partner page, and describes an open-margin model where partners set their own pricing. It gives no basis for the range, so ask for a quote before you build a business case on it.
Before you compare vendors, write down the customer needs that would lose you a deal if missing: on-premise, Active Directory, a virtual drive, fully branded apps. If any of them is on the list, start with RushFiles.
A hosted-only RushFiles alternative: who should choose Tarkle
Tarkle fits when the job is simpler: send files, request files and give customers a branded place to sign in, under your name. Tarkle runs the infrastructure, and there is one way to use it: hosted. There is no on-premise version.
Tarkle's feature pages do not list Active Directory, LDAP or Entra ID integration, so if directory sync is a must, ask the live chat before you decide. Region is another difference. Tarkle offers data residency in Europe, the United States, Asia-Pacific and Oceania, and a reseller picks one region at setup that applies to all its customer workspaces.
Two kinds of buyer look at Tarkle, and they need different plans:
Agency is for running Tarkle for your own clients. It includes everything in Pro, 20 client workspaces on Pro, a 100% white-label platform and a client provisioning portal. See white label for agencies.
Reseller and Reseller Pro are for selling file sharing as your own product, with your own plans, on your own domain. See Resell Tarkle as your own platform.
Most MSPs and web hosts will look at Reseller. An agency that only serves its own client list usually needs Agency. An organization holds one or the other, not both.
What you set up as a Tarkle reseller
The flow, as it works today:
Buy Reseller or Reseller Pro at checkout. Your partner account is created and you fill in your business details.
In settings, add your business name, logo, favicon, accent color, support email and your own terms and privacy links.
Open Domains in Settings and add a subdomain such as app.yourbrand.com. Root domains and www addresses are refused. Add the DNS records shown, including the wildcard records that let every customer workspace resolve, then refresh to check them.
Open the Plans page and build your own plans. Each has a name, storage, team seats, file and transfer size limits and a price label you type in yourself.
Let customers register themselves on your domain, or provision workspaces by hand.
Customers on your domain see your name, logo, accent color and terms links, and notification emails go out from your own sending domain once it is verified. The Reseller Terms say the surfaces customers see carry your brand, with one required attribution in the legal pages. The Reseller Dashboard, which only you use, keeps Tarkle branding.
You bill your customers yourself, outside Tarkle. The Reseller Terms state that Tarkle takes no revenue share, transaction fee or commission on payments between you and your customers, and does not process those payments. Tarkle publishes no margin figure. What you earn depends on the prices you set.
Choose your domain before you design plans. Customer links, sign-in pages and emails will all use it, so pick a name you will still want in two years.
RushFiles and Tarkle side by side
This compares only what each side publishes.
Deployment: RushFiles offers hosted and on-premise. Tarkle is hosted only.
How you join: RushFiles reviews partner applications. Reseller and Agency plans are bought at checkout.
White label: RushFiles lists logo, colors, your own domain or subdomain and branded system emails on its hosted service. A Tarkle reseller sets logo, favicon, accent color, domain and emails, and customer-facing surfaces carry the reseller's brand.
Multi-customer management: RushFiles has a reseller panel with each customer in an isolated tenant. Tarkle uses customer workspaces that draw from one pooled storage allowance.
Directory integrations: RushFiles lists Active Directory, LDAP, Entra ID and NTFS permissions. They are not in Tarkle's published features.
Desktop access: RushFiles lists a Virtual Drive with files on demand. Tarkle's feature pages do not describe a files-on-demand drive, so test your own workflow in a trial before you commit.
Pricing to you: RushFiles uses a pricing estimator with monthly commitment tiers. Tarkle publishes plan prices.
Pricing
RushFiles' pricing page is a partner estimator. It lists eight monthly commitment tiers, from 250 to 35,000 euros, and says unit pricing depends on the tier. It shows no per-user or per-gigabyte prices, so a line-by-line comparison is not possible. Its FAQ says detailed terms are shared during partner discussions.
Tarkle's plan prices as published on its pricing page in October 2026. Tarkle may change prices with at least 30 days' written notice under the Reseller Terms, so check the page before you buy.
Agency: $59 per month, or $49 per month billed yearly ($588 per year). 20 client workspaces on Pro and 6 TB of cloud storage.
Reseller: $99 per month plus a $99 one-time setup fee, or $89 per month billed yearly ($1,068 per year, no setup fee). 50 customer workspaces, 6 TB pooled storage and one authorized sales territory.
Reseller Pro: $189 per month plus a $189 one-time setup fee, or $179 per month billed yearly ($2,148 per year, no setup fee). 100 customer workspaces, 15 TB pooled storage and up to three authorized sales territories.
Extra usage is billed monthly: $79 per extra 50 workspaces and $69 per extra 10 TB of storage.
Switching from RushFiles to Tarkle
Moving is a customer-by-customer job, so start small.
List your RushFiles customers and mark any that rely on on-premise hosting, Active Directory or a virtual drive. Keep those where they are.
Pick one or two customers who mainly share and collect files. Set up your domain and a first plan.
Create their workspaces, invite them and upload their files.
Tell them what changes before you switch. The Reseller Terms require you to give customers accurate information about the platform, including how files are retained and deleted and that access may end if your Tarkle subscription ends.
Run one friendly customer on the new platform for a month before you move the rest. You will learn how your own plans and billing feel in practice.
Next step
If your customers need on-premise hosting or Active Directory, apply to RushFiles. If you want a hosted white label platform you can set up yourself today, read the Reseller platform page, compare plans on the pricing page, or start for free on the Free plan to see how it works before you sell it.
