How do I create a brand page?

Open Brands, click Create brand, fill in the steps, then click Publish (or Save as draft to finish later).

Open Brands, click Create brand, fill in the steps, then click Publish (or Save as draft to finish later).

Steps

  1. In the sidebar, click Brands, then Create brand.

  2. Optional: Start from a website. Type the brand's domain and Tarkle fills in the name, summary, logo, colors, fonts and social links it can find. Nothing is saved until you save.

  3. Work through the steps: Basics, Links, Logos, Colors, Fonts, Assets, SEO and Settings.

  4. Click Save as draft, or Publish.

What you need

  • Save as draft: a name and a valid address name (slug). The slug uses lowercase letters, numbers and single hyphens, up to 48 characters.

  • Publish: also a summary, story, website, icon, main logo, primary color, headline font, body font and banner. If access is password protected, a password.

Good to know

  • A draft is hidden completely. Its page and downloads show "not found".

  • On an existing brand you can Save changes, or Unpublish to turn it back into a draft.

  • While you create a brand, your text is kept in your browser for 24 hours. Uploaded files are not, so stay on the page until you save.

  • The brand's address is /b/your-slug on your workspace address, or on its own domain.

If it does not work

  • "You have reached your brand page limit for this plan": Free workspaces can have 1 brand page. Delete one or upgrade to Pro.

  • "Brand with this slug already exists": choose another slug.

Brand pages are part of your Tarkle plan. Free workspaces can have 1 brand page. Pro and Agency have no limit.

How do download approval and access requests work?

Turn on Require approval to download in Settings → Downloads. Visitors then use Request access instead of Download, and you decide.

The Brands page and each brand show three cards: Page views, Downloads and Access requests, with a period selector.

How do I share a brand page with a client?

Assign the brand to the client's contact or organization in Settings → Assign this brand. They see it in their client portal under Brands.
