From Cloudbrand to Tarkle Send
We started this product because we could not find a branded file sharing solution. We had tried Box, Dropbox, WeTransfer, pCloud, and others. All of them had the same issue: they were not brand-focused.
As a small agency, we wanted to appear professional when we delivered a design to a client. We wanted a clean page with our name, our logo, and a download link that looked like something we made. We could not find that. So we made Cloudbrand.
Cloudbrand was not meant to replace Dropbox. Dropbox syncs files across devices, backs up photos, and integrates with enterprise software. That was never our purpose. We were focused on one thing: letting agencies share files under their own brand. Not syncing selfies. Not enterprise compliance. Just branded file delivery for small and medium teams.
From Cloudbrand to Sharebrand
A year after launch, we renamed the product to Sharebrand. The name had two words that described exactly what we did: share files under your brand. As part of that rename, Sharebrand joined Tarkle as a product. Previously, Cloudbrand was a separate entity. With unified infrastructure, we shipped features faster: file masking (link files stored elsewhere and deliver them branded), a file payment gate, Slack notifications, and a branded recipient portal.
From Sharebrand to Tarkle Send
In 2026, we made the final move. Sharebrand became Tarkle Send. The reason was simple: Tarkle now has four products, and running each under its own brand created unnecessary confusion. Agencies asked if Sharebrand and Bripes were the same company. They were, but the branding did not make that obvious.
Now everything lives under one name:
- Tarkle Send — File sharing and tracking (the product you are reading about)
- Tarkle Portal — Client portal for productized agencies
- Tarkle Crew — Flat-rate contractor management
- Tarkle Studio — Design subscription service
The product is the same. Every feature, every integration, every custom domain, every file link. The name changed. The home changed. The mission did not.
What about pricing?
When Sharebrand launched, we offered a free plan and multiple tiers. As part of the Tarkle unification, we simplified to two plans:
- Send: $29/mo (yearly) for 15 team seats, 3 TB storage, 50 GB per transfer
- Send Pro: $69/mo (yearly) for 30 team seats, 9 TB storage, 100 GB per transfer
Both include a 7-day free trial with full access. No credit card required.
File masking is still the feature that changed everything
When we launched file masking, it changed how agencies thought about the product. You do not need to move your files to Tarkle Send. Keep them on Dropbox, Google Drive, or wherever you already store them. Add the link. Tarkle Send generates a branded download page on your domain. Your clients see your name. The files stay where they are.
This means you can offer a branded client delivery experience without changing your storage setup. That was the insight that turned Cloudbrand from a side project into a real product. It carries forward into Tarkle Send exactly as it was.
