The Story Behind Tarkle Send

The products exist because of problems we faced while running an agency.

In April 2024, a file link sent to a client opened a download page covered in promotions for another product. The first impression was not the work we had delivered. It was the file-sharing tool promoting itself.

The usual options did not fit the workflow we needed. Dropbox, Box, Google Workspace, and other storage products can be useful for sync, internal storage, and collaboration. But we needed a way to share work through our own domain, with our own branding, at a price that could work as an agency grew.

That gap led to the first product

We started with the name Cloudbrand. Design work began in June 2024. A landing page went up and early comparison articles were published while development continued. The first version launched in October 2024.

After launch, the name created confusion. Some people expected a consumer cloud-storage app with desktop sync and mobile backup features. That was never the product we intended to make.

Cloudbrand was built for branded file sharing. It was for agencies, studios, freelancers, consultants, and law firms that wanted to share files with clients through their own domain and under their own name.

By the end of 2025, Cloudbrand became Sharebrand. The new name made the purpose easier to understand: share files under your brand.

In early 2026, we consolidated the product family under Tarkle. Separate product brands, sites, databases, and marketing efforts made the company harder to understand for clients, partners, and the team.

Sharebrand became Tarkle Send. The former Bripes client portal became Tarkle Portal. The former Kontrable contractor platform became Tarkle Crew. The design subscription continues as Tarkle Studio.

One company. Four products. Send, Portal, and Crew are included in the unified Tarkle subscription. Tarkle Studio is a separate design subscription service.

Tarkle Send

Tarkle Send is a branded file-sharing platform for agencies, studios, freelancers, consultants, law firms, and other client-facing businesses.Features include up to 3 TB of team storage, up to 100 GB for uploads and transfers, custom-domain file sharing, branded file-sharing pages, file requests, password and email protection, expiry dates, access revocation, and Stripe payments. Additional features include view-only transfers, burn-after-read controls, real-time Slack notifications, 90-day file recovery, and file embeds for video and audio. Clients receive file-sharing pages and links branded with your business identity.

Tarkle Portal

Tarkle Portal is client-management software for productized agencies. It helps agencies manage client relationships, service sales, work orders, project details, deliverables, and payments under their own brand.

Tarkle Crew

Tarkle Crew is contractor-management software for agencies and small businesses. It supports contractor records, onboarding, contracts, verification, invoice and payment requests, and payment tracking. Payments move directly between the business and the contractor.

Tarkle Studio

Tarkle Studio is a separate design subscription service for graphics, video, web design, development, and managed SEO.

The original problem still matters

The product changed names, but the problem is the same. Businesses that send files to clients should be able to use their own domain, branding, and access controls. They should be able to request files, set expiry dates, revoke access, collect payment when needed, and understand what happened after a file was sent. That is what Cloudbrand was created to solve. It continued through Sharebrand. It is now Tarkle Send.
