How to let viewers download a feedback board
Tick Allow downloads when you create a feedback board, or turn it on later from the board's three-dot menu, so viewers can save the board's files as a zip.
In Tarkle, a feedback board shows its files to reviewers for comments. Turn on downloads when you want viewers to get a Download button that saves the board's files as a zip.
Allow downloads when you create the board
In the sidebar, click Feedback, then Create board.
Add your files in the Get feedback window.
Tick Allow downloads.
Click Create board.
Turn it on or off later
Open the board and click the three-dot menu.
Click Allow downloads to turn it on.
Click Disable downloads to turn it off.
Downloads are off by default. Only the owner or someone with the edit-files permission can change the setting.
What viewers get
When downloads are on, viewers see a Download button. It saves a zip named "Board title - CODE.zip", where CODE is the board's code in capitals. If the board has no title, Tarkle uses "Feedback board" as the title.
The files sit in a folder named after the board. If a file has earlier versions that your workspace still keeps, the zip adds folders called "Version 1", "Version 2" and so on. Earlier versions that have expired or were deleted by hand are not included.
What happens next
Viewers click Download and receive the zip. Each click counts as one download.
