Does Jottacloud support a custom domain for file delivery?
No. All Jottacloud sharing links are hosted on jottacloud.com. There is no option to route delivery through a domain you own or remove Jottacloud branding from the recipient experience. Sharebrand delivers every link at a fully owned custom domain on every plan from $29 per month.
Do recipients need a Jottacloud account to access shared files?
For public links, no — anyone with the link can view and download. For shared folders where collaborators need to upload or edit files, recipients must have a Jottacloud account. With Sharebrand, recipients access files at your branded domain with no account required on either side.
Is Jottacloud GDPR compliant?
Yes. Jottacloud stores data on servers it owns and operates in Norway, under Norwegian privacy law. It is outside the reach of the US CLOUD Act, which allows US authorities to access data held by American companies regardless of server location. For businesses with strict data residency requirements, this is a meaningful advantage over US-based providers.
