A deadline closes feedback automatically. You can also close it yourself with Disable comments. A closed board stays open to read.

Set a deadline

  1. Open the board and click the three-dot menu.

  2. Click Add deadline (or Edit deadline).

  3. Pick a future date and time and click Save deadline.

  4. To remove it, edit the deadline and remove it.

Reviewers see "Feedback closes in N days" and then "Feedback closed on (date)".

Reminders

If a board has a deadline, Tarkle emails the owner and the reviewers who have not given a verdict 24 hours and 1 hour before it closes. When it closes, the team gets an email. Changing the deadline sets the reminders again.

Close feedback yourself

In the three-dot menu, click Disable comments. Click Enable comments to open it again.

What closing does

  • Nobody can add comments, replies or attachments.

  • Finish review disappears for reviewers. A verdict already given stays as a label.

  • The board can still be opened and read, and downloaded if downloads are on.

  • The team can still change statuses and assign comments.

Limits

A deadline must be in the future. Setting or changing it needs the owner or the edit-files permission. Reminders are sent by a scheduled job on the live site.
