How do I create a feedback board?
Add PDFs or images in the Create board dialog, then create a board and share its link with reviewers.
A feedback board holds PDFs or images that reviewers comment on. Each board holds one kind of file, so you choose PDF or Image before you add anything. This article shows how to create a board from the Feedback page.
Create a board
Open the Feedback page from the sidebar. It lists your boards.
Click Create board. The create dialog opens.
Choose PDF or Image.
Add your files. Click Upload to pick files from your device, or Library to pick files already in your workspace. The Dropbox and Google Drive tabs also appear once you have connected them. Each file uploads as soon as you add it.
When every file has uploaded, click Create board.
Before you click Create board, you can also tick Add password, Add deadline or Allow downloads. When you tick Add password, type the password in the field that appears. A deadline is a date and time in your workspace's time zone, and a deadline in the past is refused. After the deadline, nobody can comment, but the board stays open to view. With Allow downloads ticked, viewers get a Download button. To learn more, read deadlines and closing feedback.
Share the board
To send the board to reviewers, read how to share a board. It explains who can open the board and how to share it by link or by email.
Change a board later
Click Board actions (the three-dot button) on the board to change it. These items show for people who can manage the board: Add file, Add password or Disable password, Add deadline or Edit deadline, Allow downloads or Disable downloads, and Disable comments or Enable comments. Disable comments stops new comments even without a deadline, and Enable comments turns them back on.
To archive a board, click More actions on its card in the Feedback list, then click Archive board. An archived board moves to the Archived tab.
If you cannot create a board
Free plan limit. On the Free plan you can have 5 active boards. When you try to create a sixth, Tarkle asks you to archive a board or upgrade to Pro. Archive a board you no longer need, or move to Pro or Agency. Archived boards do not count toward the limit.
Wrong file type. Tarkle shows "Only PDF files can be added here." or "Only image files can be added here." Remove the file that does not match the type you chose.
Board too large. If the board is larger than your plan allows, Tarkle does not create it.
Limits
Creating a board needs the permission to create and share files in the workspace. Without it, Tarkle shows "You do not have permission to create transfers." Pro and Agency have no board limit. Free supports uploads and transfers up to 1 GB each, and Pro and Agency support files up to 200 GB. See feedback plans and limits for the full picture.
