Agency plan limits
Agency includes 20 workspaces, 6 TB of shared storage and 200 GB per file, and what happens at each limit.
An organization on the Agency plan includes 20 workspaces and 6 TB of cloud storage that every workspace shares. This page lists those limits, what counts toward them and what Tarkle does when you reach one. Plans belong to the organization, not to a single workspace. For prices, see pricing.
The limits at a glance
Workspaces: 20 for the whole organization. Pro includes 2.
Storage: 6 TB, shared by all workspaces in the organization. Pro includes 3 TB.
Largest file: 200 GB per file. Pro has the same limit, and Free allows 1 GB per file.
Team members: unlimited, as on Pro.
Tarkle can set a different workspace allowance for an organization. When it does, that allowance applies in place of 20. To split the 6 TB between your workspaces, read How do I assign storage to a client workspace?.
What counts toward the 20 workspaces
Tarkle counts your open workspaces. Closed and deleted workspaces are not counted, so deleting a workspace you no longer use frees a place. Workspaces that belong to a platform partner count against that partner's limit, not yours.
Only the workspace owner can delete a workspace, and only a workspace on the Free plan can be deleted. On the Workspaces page, click Workspace actions on the workspace's row and choose Settings. Find the Danger zone and click Delete workspace. You confirm by typing the workspace name. If Tarkle shows "Downgrade to the Free plan before deleting this workspace.", the workspace is on a paid plan, and it has to be on the Free plan before you can delete it.
The workspace then shows as Closed on the Workspaces page, and its files and data are permanently deleted after 30 days.
When you reach the workspace limit
At the limit, you cannot add another workspace. Once a day Tarkle checks your count and emails the owner's email address:
At 16 of 20 workspaces, the email is titled "You are close to your workspaces limit".
At 20 of 20, the email is titled "You have reached your workspaces limit". It suggests deleting a workspace you no longer use, or contacting us if you need more room.
Each email has an Open workspaces button and is sent once for a given limit.
If an organization has more open workspaces than its plan allows, the same daily check suspends the newest workspaces and keeps the oldest active. Suspending does not delete files. A suspended workspace switches back on by itself at the next daily check once there is room again, for example after you delete another workspace. To see what a plan ending means for client workspaces, read What happens if my Agency plan ends?.
When storage is full
All workspaces draw on the same 6 TB. When an upload would go past the limit, Tarkle stops it and shows "This file would exceed your storage limit." Tarkle can also email the owner when storage is full, with an Upgrade storage button.
Give a workspace its own share of storage
By default, every workspace can use whatever is still free in the 6 TB. The organization owner can set aside a share for one workspace:
Open the workspace list and click Workspace actions on the workspace's row.
Choose Assign limit.
In Select workspace, pick the workspace.
In Assign storage, enter an amount.
In Unit, pick GB or TB.
Click Save.
The amount still available shows under the field. The amount you enter is both the most that workspace can store and the space held back for it, so other workspaces cannot use it. It cannot be lower than what the workspace already stores, and it cannot be more than your organization has left.
To remove the share, clear Assign storage so it shows "No limit", then click Save. Workspaces managed by a platform partner cannot be changed this way. Assigning a limit moves storage between your workspaces. It does not add storage to the 6 TB.
