How to connect Fathom to Tarkle

Fathom Analytics counts visits to your public pages. To connect it, paste your Fathom Site ID into the Fathom Analytics card in your workspace integrations. Tarkle then adds the Fathom script to those pages.

This article covers how to connect Fathom, which pages get the script, and how to disconnect it or switch to another analytics tool.

How to connect Fathom Analytics

  1. Open Integrations in the workspace you want to track.

  2. In the Analytics section, click the Fathom Analytics card.

  3. Paste your Site ID into the field in the window.

  4. Click Save.

After you click Save, the card shows as connected. If the field is empty, Tarkle shows an error and saves nothing. Tarkle does not check the ID against Fathom, so copy it exactly from your Fathom account. A mistyped ID is saved without an error message.

Note: The Site ID belongs to one workspace, so repeat the steps in each workspace you want to track. Only the owner of the workspace can save or disconnect the Site ID.

Which pages get the script

Once the ID is saved, Tarkle adds the Fathom script to the public pages of the workspace, such as brand pages. Those pages open on your Workspace URL, on a custom domain you connected, on a tarkle.page address or on a brand domain. The ID applies to the whole workspace.

Switch to another tool or disconnect

Fathom Analytics, Plausible Analytics and Simple Analytics form one group, so a workspace can have only one of them connected. While one is connected, the other two cards cannot be opened. To switch, open the connected card and click Disconnect. Disconnect removes the Site ID, and Tarkle stops loading the Fathom script. Then connect the other tool.

To change the Site ID, click Disconnect and add the new ID. A connected card shows the saved ID as text, with no field to edit it.

Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel are not in that group, so they can stay connected next to Fathom. See the Google Analytics integration to learn what that connection does.

What happens next

After you save, the Fathom Analytics card shows as connected, and the Fathom script loads on the public pages of your workspace.
