Plausible integration
Connect Plausible to Tarkle by entering your domain, so Plausible counts visits on your public pages.
Plausible Analytics counts visits to your public pages. To connect it, enter your domain in the Plausible card on the Integrations page in Settings. Tarkle then adds the Plausible script to those pages.
This article covers how to connect Plausible, which pages get the script, how it works with the other analytics tools, and how to change or disconnect it.
How to connect Plausible Analytics
Integrations are set per workspace, so repeat these steps in each workspace you want to track.
Open Integrations in the workspace's Settings.
In the Analytics section, click Connect on the Plausible card.
In the Add Plausible window, type your domain in the field, for example yourdomain.com.
Click Save.
Type the domain as you registered it in Plausible. Tarkle sends this value to Plausible as the site domain, and it saves what you type, apart from spaces at the start and end. Tarkle does not check the name against Plausible, so check the spelling before you save.
If the field is empty, Tarkle shows an error and saves nothing. After a successful save, the card shows a Connected label and the domain as text.
Note: Only the owner of the workspace, or a linked account that works on that workspace, can save or disconnect the domain.
Plans and who can set it up
The Plausible card does not ask for a plan upgrade, so you can connect it on any plan. If the card is missing from your Integrations list, a partner may have hidden it for this workspace.
Which pages get the script
After you save a domain, Tarkle adds the Plausible script to the public pages of the workspace: file transfer pages, file request pages, Brand Pages and the other public pages. Plausible needs only the domain. Tarkle loads the script from plausible.io, and no other script address can be set.
Analytics tools that switch each other off
Plausible, Fathom Analytics and Simple Analytics form one group, so a workspace can have only one of them connected. While one of them is connected, the other two cards are greyed out and cannot be opened. To switch, open Manage on the connected card, click Disconnect, and then connect the other tool. Google Analytics 4 is not in this group, so it can stay connected next to Plausible.
Change or disconnect the domain
A connected card shows the domain as text, with no field to edit it. To change the domain, open Manage on the Plausible card, click Disconnect, and then connect the card again with the new domain. Disconnect clears the domain at once, and Tarkle does not ask you to confirm. After that, Tarkle stops loading the Plausible script on the public pages.
What happens next
After you save, the Plausible card shows as connected, and the Plausible script loads on the public pages of the workspace.
