How to create a branded video page with a Wistia video
Paste a Wistia video link into a Tarkle video transfer and share the video on a branded page.
This article covers how to put a video hosted on Wistia on a Tarkle video page. The page carries your custom branding, and the video plays inside it.
Wistia links Tarkle accepts
Tarkle accepts these three forms of Wistia link:
https://yourcompany.wistia.com/medias/MEDIAIDhttps://yourcompany.wistia.com/m/MEDIAIDhttps://fast.wistia.net/embed/iframe/MEDIAID
You can also paste a Wistia embed code. Tarkle reads the media ID from it.
Note: Wistia /s/ share links do not play on the Tarkle video page. Tarkle still shows Detected: Wistia for them, so use the /medias/ or /m/ link instead.
Create the video page
Open the Share dialog in your workspace.
Click Videos, then click Link.
Paste the Wistia link into the field. When Tarkle recognizes it, it shows Detected: Wistia under the field.
When the link is in place, go on to the second step.
On the second step, enter a Title. The title is required. The Summary can be up to 150 characters.
Go on to the third step to set the access choices.
For a Wistia link, the third step offers Gated and a password option.
Press the button that creates the transfer.
For a Wistia link, the download, watermark, autoplay, casting, Picture-in-Picture and public embedding settings are not offered. Those settings are for uploaded or library videos.
What happens next
When you press the button that creates the transfer, Tarkle creates the video transfer. The video plays inside the Tarkle page through Wistia's embed, and the people you send the page to can watch it there.
