How to create a branded video page with a YouTube video
Paste a YouTube video link into a video transfer and share the branded page under your own address.
If your video is already on YouTube, you can wrap it in a Tarkle video transfer. Your client opens a branded page with the video on it, and you paste the YouTube link instead of uploading the file again.
When this is useful
Use this when a YouTube video is your final deliverable and you want to share it on a branded page instead of sending a youtube.com link. For a video stored in Tarkle, read How to create a video transfer.
How to create the page
Open New transfer and choose Videos. The type choices are Files, Videos and Audio.
Open the Link tab. Paste the YouTube video link into the link field. Tarkle recognises the link and shows Detected: YouTube.
Go to the next step. Enter a Title, which names the page. You can add a Summary of up to 150 characters.
On the last step, choose who can open the page. To ask for a password, turn on password protection.
Click the button at the bottom of the dialog that creates the transfer.
Tarkle also reads Vimeo, Loom, Wistia, Bunny and Gumlet links the same way. For Loom, read How to create a branded video page with a Loom video. For Gumlet, read How to create a branded video page with a Gumlet video.
What your client sees
Share the link Tarkle creates. The page opens on your custom domain when one is set, and on your workspace address otherwise. The video plays inside the branded page.
Track views
Transfer status shows whether a transfer was delivered, viewed or downloaded. To see exactly what the recipient sees and can download on the page, read What is a video transfer page?.
