Seven platforms for MSPs, resellers and agencies compared by pricing model, reseller limits and client access.

A RushFiles alternative depends on what your customers insist on. Best for a platform you can brand and sell yourself, bought at checkout: Tarkle. Best for on-premise hosting: RushFiles or FileCloud. Best for per-user business plans: ShareFile or Egnyte. Best for a client portal with its own workspace features: Clinked. Best for automated file transfers between systems: Files.com.

We make Tarkle, so read this as one vendor's view and check the sources. The vendor facts below were read on each vendor's own pages in October 2026, and each vendor is linked to its page.

How we compared these tools

We looked at two things a reseller or agency has to decide before signing: how you pay, and the limit the plan puts on your customers. Every tool in this list gets one real limit.

A RushFiles alternative you can brand and sell: Tarkle

Tarkle is bought at checkout, with one plan for serving your own clients and two for selling file sharing under your own name. Agency is for serving your own clients: everything in Pro, 20 workspaces for your clients, 6 TB of cloud storage and a 100% white-label platform. Your clients log in on your own domain. Reseller and Reseller Pro are for selling file sharing as your own product, with customer workspaces drawing from a pooled storage allowance.

The Reseller Terms say that surfaces your customers see, including workspaces, share pages, file requests, portals and notification emails, carry your brand. The one exception is a single attribution in the legal pages. The client portal is where each client signs in with their email, sees only what you shared with them and sends files back.

Here is what falls outside Tarkle's scope. The Reseller Dashboard, the admin screen you use to run the plan, keeps Tarkle branding. The client portal is included on Pro and Agency. If a customer needs on-premise hosting, check RushFiles first, since it can run on your own infrastructure. FileCloud also offers a self-hosted server.

RushFiles: for MSPs that need on-premise hosting

RushFiles describes itself as a "partner-only file sharing platform" on its partner program page, read in October 2026. It sells through MSPs, cloud and hosting providers and IT distributors, and says it does not sell directly to end customers. It can run hosted on EU infrastructure or on your own infrastructure. White label is optional: your logo, colors, your own domain for portals and logins, customized system emails and branded desktop and mobile apps.

RushFiles uses an open-margin model, so partners set their own prices. The partner pricing estimator works with monthly commitment tiers from €250 to €35,000. For the full picture, see our RushFiles comparison.

FileCloud: for providers that want self-hosted control

FileCloud sells file sharing as self-hosted server software or as a hosted service, FileCloud Online, according to its pricing page, read in October 2026. The Server Essentials plan is $7 per user per month billed annually, with a minimum of 20 users. The hosted Online Essentials plan is $14 per user per month billed annually, with a minimum of 10 users. Advanced and service provider plans are by quote.

The limit for a small team: the hosted plans need at least 10 users, and the self-hosted Essentials plan needs at least 20.

Egnyte: for per-user plans with governance tools

Egnyte's pricing page lists Business at $22, Enterprise Lite at $39 and Elite at $48 per user per month, paid annually, with the top tier by custom quote (read October 2026).

The limit: the top tier is by custom quote, so get that price before you promise it to a customer. Read more in Tarkle vs Egnyte.

ShareFile: for client portals priced per user

ShareFile's pricing page lists per-user plans, Advanced, Premium and Enterprise, with a minimum of 3 users (read October 2026). Premium adds an enhanced client portal. Because the price is per user, the bill rises with every person on your team who needs an account.

Clinked: for a full client workspace

Clinked is a client portal and virtual data room with tasks, discussions and file approval. Its pricing page (read October 2026) lists Standard at $239 per month for 100 members and 1 TB, with your own URL. Premium adds white-label email notifications and custom domain file upload.

The limit: your own URL starts at the Standard tier. Read more in Tarkle vs Clinked.

Files.com: for automated transfers between systems

Files.com is a managed file transfer platform with SFTP, FTP and WebDAV. Its pricing page (read October 2026) lists Starter at $199 per month, or $2,099 per year, and Power at $499 per month, or $5,269 per year. Power adds a custom domain with dedicated IP addresses and an on-premise agent.

The limit: a custom domain needs the Power plan. In our view it suits integrations and transfers between systems more than a client-facing branded portal. See Tarkle vs Files.com.

Tarkle pricing

Prices as published on Tarkle's pricing page and reseller plans in October 2026. For reseller plans, Tarkle may change prices with at least 30 days' written notice, and a change takes effect at the next renewal.

  • Agency: $59 per month, or $49 per month billed yearly ($588 per year). 20 client workspaces and 6 TB of cloud storage.

  • Reseller: $99 per month plus a $99 one-time setup fee, or $89 per month billed yearly ($1,068 per year, no setup fee). 50 customer workspaces, 6 TB pooled storage, one authorized sales territory.

  • Reseller Pro: $189 per month plus a $189 one-time setup fee, or $179 per month billed yearly ($2,148 per year, no setup fee). 100 customer workspaces, 15 TB pooled storage, up to three authorized sales territories.

For reseller plans, extra usage is billed monthly: $79 per extra 50 workspaces and $69 per extra 10 TB of storage. Tarkle takes no revenue share, transaction fee, or commission on payments between the Reseller and its Customers.

Before you shortlist, write the three customer needs that would lose you a deal, such as on-premise hosting, directory sign-in or a mapped drive. Cross out every tool that misses one, then compare prices on what is left.

How to choose between them

Start with where the service must run. If a customer needs on-premise hosting, look at RushFiles or FileCloud first. Then check how each one handles your domain and your name on emails, and get the answer in writing. Then check the pricing model against your customer count: per-user pricing grows with every seat, commitment tiers set a floor, and flat plans cap workspaces instead.

Agency and reseller are different jobs. An agency serving its own client list needs a branded place for those clients, and the Agency plan is for agencies using Tarkle for their clients. A business that sells file sharing to its own customers under its own name uses Reseller or Reseller Pro, where customer workspaces draw from a pooled storage allowance. Our guide on how to resell cloud storage under your own brand covers the second case.

What to remember about Tarkle

Agency serves your own clients on your own domain, and Reseller and Reseller Pro let you distribute file sharing under your own name with a pooled storage allowance. The limit to check first: the Reseller Dashboard keeps Tarkle branding, and extra usage is billed on top. To try custom branding and a custom domain with real files, start for free on the Free plan.
