Simple Analytics integration

Simple Analytics is cookie-free analytics for your public pages. You connect it by entering your domain on the Integrations settings page, and then the Simple Analytics script loads on your public pages. This article covers how to connect it, change the domain, disconnect it, and what it works alongside.

Connect Simple Analytics

Connections are set per workspace, so open the workspace you want to track first.

  1. Open Integrations under Settings in that workspace.

  2. Find the Simple Analytics row in the analytics tools list and click Connect on it.

  3. In the Add Simple Analytics dialog, type your domain in the field, for example yourdomain.com.

  4. Click Save.

The field only checks that it is not empty, so type the domain alone. After you save, Tarkle shows a confirmation message, and the Simple Analytics row shows a Connected badge and a Manage button.

Change the domain or disconnect it

Click Manage on the Simple Analytics row. The dialog shows the saved domain as text that cannot be edited, so to use a different domain, disconnect first and then connect again.

To disconnect, click Disconnect in the dialog. Tarkle clears the domain, the row goes back to Connect, and the Simple Analytics script stops loading on your public pages.

One analytics tool at a time

Simple Analytics, Fathom and Plausible form one group on the Integrations page. When one of them is connected, the other two rows are dimmed and cannot be opened. Disconnect the connected tool first, then connect the one you want.

Google Analytics 4 is not part of this group, so you can connect it while Simple Analytics is connected.

Where the script runs

The Simple Analytics script loads on the public pages of the workspace, the pages visitors and recipients open. If your organization is on Free and a workspace is over its storage limit, its public pages return a not found page, so the script does not run there.

What happens next

After you save, the Simple Analytics script loads on your public pages. To stop it, click Manage and then Disconnect.
