Facebook Pixel integration

The Facebook Pixel integration adds Meta's Pixel to the public pages of one workspace. Use it when you want Meta to record a page view each time someone opens one of those pages.

What the Pixel records

Once a Pixel ID is saved, Tarkle loads the Meta Pixel on the public pages of that workspace. These are file transfer pages, audio pages, video pages, file request pages, event pages and Brand Pages. Each time one of these pages opens, the Pixel sends a PageView event to Meta. Tarkle does not send purchase, lead or other standard events through the Pixel.

Add the Pixel ID

Add the Pixel ID in the workspace you want to track. Each workspace has its own Pixel ID.

  1. Open Integrations in Settings.

  2. Find the Facebook Pixel card in the Analytics group, and click Connect.

  3. Paste your Pixel ID into the field.

  4. Click Save.

When the save works, Tarkle confirms it. The card then shows a Connected badge and a Manage button.

Change or remove the Pixel ID

Click Manage on the Facebook Pixel card. The window shows the saved Pixel ID and a Disconnect button. Click Disconnect to remove the Pixel: Tarkle clears the ID, and the Pixel stops loading on your public pages. To use a different ID, disconnect first, then add the new ID the same way as above.

Who can change it and what Tarkle checks

Only the owner of the workspace can save or disconnect the Pixel ID. The save is refused with a Not authorized error for other accounts. Tarkle checks only that the field is not empty, and it does not check the format of the ID. It also does not ask visitors for consent before the Pixel loads.

Plans and other analytics

The Facebook Pixel is not tied to a plan in Tarkle's code. Its card has no upgrade button, and on the Integrations tab only Slack shows one. The Pixel is not in the groups where only one tool at a time can be connected, so it works alongside Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager. The pricing page lists the plans.

What happens next

From the next page view on your public pages, the Pixel sends a PageView to Meta. To change the other analytics tools, open the same Integrations tab and find them in the Analytics group.
